And yet, despite sharing a lot of opinions on the previous Alien films (give or take their fondness for the first Alien Vs. Predator), they find themselves split on the question of whether Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant is an inspired gothic sci-fi horror movie or a limp, dull retread.
