It’s finally time to watch the Alice Through The Looking Glass trailer

The trailer for Alice Through The Looking Glass is here, and sees the titular hero return to Wonderland at a most opportune time. Alice (Mia Wasikowska) ventures through the looking glass seemingly at the behest of the Blue Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), who tells her it’s been too long since she’s called on them. But there’s no time for tea parties because the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in serious trouble. It’s not entirely clear what kind of trouble that is, but it very likely has to do with Time who, as personified by Sacha Baron Cohen, wears a man bun.

The trailer’s poem voiceover puns some more on time, ala the teasers that have been released. The film sequel doesn’t appear to have followed much of the second book’s (Through The Looking-Glass, And What Alice Found There) plot other than to borrow the characters, but there’s still a chance we could get some Jabberwocky dropped on us. The stinger at the end sees Time give the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) a music box that plays Chopin’s “Funeral March,” and whose figurines execute a beheading, so she doesn’t even have to say her catchphrase.

Alice Through The Looking Glass premieres May 27, 2016.
