It’s Friday, so here’s a video of a samurai cutting a 100 mph baseball in half
With Major League Baseball playoffs in full swing, there’s much talk in the air about pitch speeds. Sure, Jacob DeGrom can throw 97 miles per hour, but Noah Syndergaard can throw 100. While it’s impressive enough that a batter can hit anything going that fast, master swordsman Isao Machii can one-up even the most badass major leaguer. In a new video making the rounds, Machii uses his samurai sword to slice a 100-mph baseball in half just 30 feet from where the pitching machine fires the ball. His reaction speed is positively insane, especially since he’s not just slicing the ball in mid-air, but also pulling the sword from its sheath on his belt before the whole thing goes down. The video is below, and you’re going to need to watch it a few times. It’s truly something to behold.
