It’s Halloween and American Horror Story is on, what more do you want?

American Horror Story (FX, 10 p.m.): We can’t even guess as to what’s going to happen on this week’s American Horror Story. FX is keeping things pretty darn close to the vest. But even if there were more than a few vague, tantalizing hints out there, it would still be a tough nut to crack, because this season is bonkers—and even if it weren’t, it’s Halloween, so there’s no way “Sojourn” doesn’t go to some truly weird places. Some sort of standoff between Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) and Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) is in the making. The latter is seriously irked because he doesn’t have an antichrist instruction manual. Sandra Bernhard gives a demonic sermon of some kind. That’s about it. That’s what we’ve got to go on. Well, that, and the fact that Evan Peters and Billy Eichner sport these haircuts.
That right there is reason enough to tune in. Molly Horan stands ready to figure out what the hell’s happening with that whole situation.

Tell Me A Story (CBS All Access, 3:01 a.m.): Either you read the words “fairy tales re-imagined as a dark psychological thriller from the creator of Dawson’s Creek” and immediately grab the popcorn, or you immediately start reading something else, in which case you’ve already clicked away. Sorry! Have a fun Halloween, and make good choices! For those who are still here, the cast includes Kim Cattrall, James Wolk, Dania Ramirez, and Game Night and Maniac standout Billy Magnussen, and based on the trailer, there’s a reason it’s arriving on the spoooooookiest night of the year. All future episodes will air on Thursdays.
