While Play It Again, Dick—the extremely meta spinoff of Veronica Mars that’s about Ryan Hansen’s Dick Casablancas character, but also about Ryan Hansen trying to revive his Dick Casablancas character—isn’t necessarily the continuation of the show that Marshmallows long for, it’s the continuation they’re going to get. Kicking off on The CW’s YouTube channel, Play It Again, Dick is full of self-referential humor, signature cocktails, scantily clad women, and Casablancas gallivanting around playing at private eye—or at least, that’s what this 20-second long teaser trailer suggests. There’s also an appearance from Kristen Bell, who’s seemingly suspicious about making an appearance. The whole twisty thing unspools on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
