It’s People V. O.J. Simpson vs. everyone else in Critics’ Choice Awards nominations
After conquering the Emmys, The People V. O.J. Simpson has now moved on to the Critics’ Choice Awards. The series picked up six nominations, the most of any series, and is represented in all the limited series categories save for supporting actress. Its biggest rival is The Night Manager with five. Elsewhere, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association threw its support behind a bunch of new shows, including Atlanta, Fleabag, Westworld, The Crown, and Stranger Things. That’s not to say that the usual suspects aren’t all here—including Game Of Thrones, which collected five nods.
This year’s show is mired in controversy after a number of members of the BTJA resigned after the show’s network, A&E, joined forces with Entertainment Weekly, an ostensible show of favoritism for awards that are supposed to be about a collective of voices. You can see the full list of nominations below. The ceremony is set to take place December 11, and T.J. Miller will serve as host.
