It’s Rumor Time: Twin Peaks might premiere in April

Though an appearance at Sundance is unlikely, the Twin Peaks revival could arrive before summer. After digging through the show’s Reddit archives, the dedicated fans and writers at Welcome To Twin Peaks have reason to believe the series, which might not be so limited, will debut in late April. Apparently, someone got their hands on a promotional calendar for the Showtime series, and it’s full of the usual dreamy yet foreboding landscapes. But, the April 30 square on the page for the month of May features an image of the “Welcome to Twin Peaks“ sign.

This is being interpreted as the premiere date of the new series, which boasts a huge cast, including many of the original players like Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, and Miguel Ferrer. It does fall on a Sunday, which will be have an opening when Homeland wraps its sixth season. No one involved in the series has responded to the theory, but co-creator Mark Frost put the kibosh on rumors that Twin Peaks will screen at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
