It seems like Allison Mack tried to recruit Emma Watson into her alleged sex cult
On Friday, former Smallville star Allison Mack was arrested for the role she allegedly played in acting as a recruiter for the supposed cult/sex trafficking ring Nxivm and its subgroup DOS (Dominos Obsequious Sororium, or “Master Over the Slave Women”). Along with Nxivm leader Keith Raniere, Mack was charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy before being released on a $5 million bond today. Given these charges and the unsettling detail that Nxivm would supposedly brand its members/victims, Business Insider looked through Mack’s Twitter account and noticed that she made repeated attempts to reach out to Emma Watson in 2016 with comments about an “amazing women’s movement” that (in retrospect) sounds suspiciously like Nxivm and it’s “self-help” angle.
(It’s unclear if Watson ever responded, but her Twitter handle is @EmmaWatson these days and not @EmWatson.)
Mack also reached out to Kelly Clarkson on Twitter in 2013, though the language isn’t quite as direct as it seems in her tweets to Watson:
