Kamau Bell: Private School Negro (Netflix): The stand-up comedian, podcaster, author, and host of United Shades Of America performs in the round for Netflix, delivering a timely, energetic set that covers politics, racism, parenting, TV, and, in one of the stories he shares in Private School Negro, watching political TV coverage about a racist while parenting. “Are they still trying to figure out why Donald Trump is the president?” Bell recalls his daughter asking him while he was watching the news, expressing a perceptiveness that takes her dad by surprise. But considering all the work Bell does to keep his audiences entertained and informed, why would his kids be any different?
