It takes a nation of hipsters to hold Public Enemy back

Love 'em or loathe 'em, the folks at Pitchfork certainly know how to put on a show. Despite some frustrating sound issues—and an appearance from Yoko Ono that was unfortunately crystal clear—last year's Pitchfork Music Festival was heavy on highlights, especially the All Tomorrow's Parties-sponsored set featuring Sonic Youth performing Daydream Nation. The just-announced lineup for the 2008 festival promises to bum rush that show, bring the noise, welcome you to the Terrordome, and a whole host of other lame lyrical allusions by way of Public Enemy, who will run through It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back in its entirety, presumably without pausing to allow Flavor Flav to "kick a little of his solo shit." That should be reason enough to buy a ticket, but the roster also includes Animal Collective, !!!, Spiritualized, Boris, No Age, Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Atlas Sound, M. Ward, Fleet Foxes, and over two dozen more. Maybe this time it's okay to believe the hype?
