It's the most wonderful time of the year for an easy-listening Scott Weiland Christmas album

Right about now, you're probably gathered with loved ones in front of an open fire, sipping on eggnog and gazing at the bright lights on the ol' Christmas tree. It's all part of a holiday tradition that millions of people enjoy 10 days before Halloween. The best part of Christmas in October, of course, is the music, especially when it's sung by the holly jolly singer from Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. On Tuesday, Scott Weiland will release The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, a collection of yuletide classics that finds the grunge crooner trying out some actual, Perry Como-style crooning. It's a pretty weird record to say the least, particularly "I'll Be Home For Christmas," where Weiland sings about longing for the holidays and the virtues of family in a warm voice that sounds like it's coming from his throat and directly through his nose.
