iTunes is experiencing a “Total Eclipse” on its charts

As a cloudy afternoon reduces eclipse parties here in Chicago to just regular old parties full of people staring at eclipse live streams on their phones, at least the iTunes charts are experiencing a “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.” As observed by CNN reporter Hunter Schwarz, Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” is currently No. 1 on the iTunes charts:

Tyler is also gearing up at this very moment to sing “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” on a Royal Caribbean cruise line during the total eclipse of the sun early this afternoon, and has trimmed down her Jim Steinman-penned 1983 hit specially for the occasion. And who can blame her—with the next total solar eclipse not set to pass over the U.S. until April 8, 2024, she’d be a fool not to turn around and take advantage of the moment.
