Ivan Reitman says Ghostbusters 3 script exists, but nothing else you've heard is true

After months of Dan Aykroyd accidentally casting Ghostbusters 3 with whatever comic actor just popped into his brain and generally going bye-bye, director Ivan Reitman has finally arrived to set the record straight about the would-be sequel—namely, that “nothing you’ve read on the Internet is accurate” (particularly, we assume, if it originated with Aykroyd). Reitman does, however, acknowledge that a script exists, that it is awaiting approval from Bill Murray—who still hasn’t read this draft yet, despite reports suggesting otherwise—and that Reitman believes it is “good enough to do.” The Associated Press then closes with “Reitman’s latest project is the romantic comedy No Strings Attached,” which is the most hilariously deadpan riposte we’ve read in forever.
