J.K. Rowling is sorry for killing Snape, just so you know
J.K. Rowling continues to share her opinions about the series of novels that she finished publishing about 10 years ago, this time explaining on Twitter that she’s sorry for killing off Harry Potter’s antagonist-turned-heroic martyr Severus Snape. Her admission is part of a tradition on the anniversary of the pivotal Battle Of Hogwarts in which she attempts to make amends for her ruthless fictional murders.
Surely, she can’t feel that bad about her literary decision—it was a crucial one, after all, considering his death reveals his true nature—however in the past she’s apologized for doing away with less fraught figures like Fred Weasley.
