J.K. Rowling posted another new Harry Potter story

Shortly after providing an update on adult Harry, Hermoine, and Ron, J.K. Rowling has given the Muggle World another gift of supplementary material, this time with a story about Celestina Warbeck. Heretofore only a voice that warbles through the Weasleys’ large wooden, wireless set at the Burrow, we now have some interesting details about the singing sorceress, including her Hogwarts house (Gryffindor), parentage (Wizard father, Muggle mother), and special abilities (drowning out a chorus of banshees, tap-dancing, fancy baking), among other details.

While that’s hardly more information than would appear on the back of a Chocolate Frog card, the account also comes with a recording off Celestina’s bestselling album, You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart. The song is a particularly jazzy number that makes it easy to see why Molly Weasley is such a fan.

As seen in the video above, the song actually comes from Universal Studios’ Diagon Alley, where fans can see her perform live along with her backup banshee singers. It’s not quite the same as listening to Celestina through the Wizarding Wireless Network at Christmastime in the Burrow. But if you’re a sad, pathetic Muggle with no hope of marrying into the Wizarding World (like Celestina’s failed actress Muggle mother did), then you have to get your fix in Orlando, not in the magical British Wizarding World where the real Celestina Warbeck is probably already dead, seeing as how we now know she was born in 1917.
