Jack White is pissed a newspaper published his secret guacamole recipe

Jack White is as livid as Jack White can be that a college newspaper disclosed his guacamole recipe. Specifically, White is angry at The Oklahoma Daily for publishing both his $80,000 fee for a recent show on campus and his tour rider, which includes both his and his crew’s relatively mundane tour demands (“no bananas”) and his slightly underwhelming recipe for backstage guacamole. (Up the onions, bro.) White reportedly told the audience at Monday night’s Norman, Oklahoma show that “just because you can type it on your computer doesn’t make it right,” though the paper used the Freedom Of Information Act to justify its access to the documents. The paper also revealed that White asks for a “New York strip steak, cooked medium, with steamed vegetables on the side and no sauce” as his post-show meal, so it’s possible that he’s just upset the world knows he likes his meat overdone and his vegetables boring.

White’s booking agency, William Morris Endeavor (WME), is pissed as well, telling the University it won’t book any more shows there for any of its artists, not just White. The agency says the ban will remain in effect “until [the university’s] policy is modified not to disseminate private information.” Or until someone makes them some really sweet guacamole.
