Jack White's music will attempt to distract audiences from how Johnny Depp looks in The Lone Ranger
Much of the talk regarding Gore Verbinski's summer-of-2013 would-be blockbuster The Lone Ranger has centered on Johnny Depp's pancake-heavy and headgear-prominent wardrobe for his character Tonto. But now the project has enlisted another darkly handsome and demonstrably strange star to distract from Depp's distracting appearance: Jack White has signed on to score the film. According to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, White's music will include a "fresh take on the William Tell Overture," which will probably be recorded using the same ancient instruments that played the original version.
