James Caan and It Follows’ Keir Gilchrist to star in thriller about fake hauntings
According to Variety, Keir Gilchrist (the nice kid from It Follows) is to star in an indie thriller with James Caan (an old man who is known for wasting our time by joining projects and than instantly quitting them). The film will be titled The Waiting, and the storyline reportedly involves a pair of young filmmakers who decide to “create the illusion of a haunting on an unsuspecting neighbor.” We’re not sure why they choose to do this, but we can guess at a reason or two if Caan is playing the neighbor. Young person actor Logan Miller is also set to star, with he and Gilchrist most likely playing the filmmakers who hassle the old man.
The Waiting is being directed by Kasra Farahani, who was an art director on Thor, Men In Black 3, and Star Trek Into Darkness. He doesn’t have very much experience directing, though, so hopefully he doesn’t have too much trouble keeping James Caan from wandering off. Of course, there is always a way to make sure he doesn’t do that.
