This LA Times piece reminds that it's been almost a decade since James Cameron made Titanic, and now he's going forward with the science-fiction film Avatar, which he also wrote. The film will combine animation and live action, and, well, if the (even) broad(er) appeal of Titanic was too much for some old-school Cameron fans, the fact that Avatar's set on "Pandora, a moon of a giant gas planet" might make them feel special again.
