Professional handsome bastard James Franco has traveled some odd roads in his acting career, including taking time off from Hollywood to pursue a master's degree in creative writing at Columbia. But this news today may be the most unexpected Franco turn yet: the in-demand Freaks & Geeks/Milk/Pineapple Express star will reportedly be doing a two-month stint on General Hospital, beginning November 20th. No word from the Franco camp on why he's taken a sudden interest in daytime drama, though the producers of General Hospital have called his decision to join them "an honor." Perhaps he intends to teach the soap community a few lessons:
