James Franco’s SNL documentary premieres tomorrow on Hulu

James Franco’s documentary on Saturday Night Live—not to be confused with somebody else’s documentary on James Franco,—will make its streaming premiere tomorrow on Hulu. Saturday Night was initially produced as a project for one of Franco’s NYU film classes and is three hours of James Franco watching SNL sketches on YouTube an inside look at the day-to-day operations of SNL, from late-night writing sessions to the part where everyone hugs and makes small talk as the credits roll. The documentary takes place during the week of December 1-6, 2008 and documents Christopher Walken’s seventh time hosting the show. Saturday Night screened at SXSW and the Tribeca Film Festival in 2010, but has never been released commercially; the grade James Franco received for the film is unknown.
