James Marsden joins the Anchorman sequel, presumably as Cyclops

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any Anchorman 2 casting news, and hell, we’ve missed it. We miss it so damn much. We miss its musk. When this all gets sorted out, Anchorman 2 casting news, we think we should get an apartment together. But in the meantime, we’ll just settle for passing along that James Marsden has joined the cast, building on his recent comic turn on 30 Rock with a role as “a rival anchor and nemesis to Ron Burgundy”—a description that doesn’t explicitly rule out the idea that Marsden will be reprising his role as Cyclops, so we’ll just assume that he is, until we actually see the film and possibly even after that. Oh sure, there are probably some X-Men “canon” nerds who will argue that Cyclops never did a stint hosting the news, even in the many alternate universes the X-Men have inhabited. These people should sit this next one out, maybe stop talking for a while.
