Everybody knows the basic details of the Robin Hood story. He steals from the rich, he gives to the poor, he likes to wear green, and sometimes he’s a fox. That story isn’t quite sexy enough for 2016, though, and it’s certainly not sexy enough for director Otto Bathurst’s film about the old outlaw—which has been saddled with the decidedly un-sexy name Robin Hood: Origins. To try and boost the appeal of the film, then, Bathurst and Lionsgate have turned to Fifty Shades Of Grey star Jamie Dornan, who is currently in talks to play loyal Merry Men member Will Scarlet.
This comes from Variety, which sadly doesn’t say whether or not Dornan’s Scarlet would be super into sex parties, but we assume that’s a given. If he gets the part, he’ll be appearing alongside Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, who will be playing Robin Hood and Little John.
