Jamie Foxx might extend his Halloween plans to include the Amazing Spider-Man sequel
If Django Unchained and playing opposite Channing Tatum in White House Down weren’t enough confirmation that Jamie Foxx has finished the “guesting on Kanye West tracks before recording his own R&B hits” portion of his career, Variety now reports that Foxx is in talks to menace Andrew Garfield with the power of electricity in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Those negotiations are all but confirmed by a tweet from the Oscar winner—“Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well.”—which is promising, considering that it must be difficult to find a lightning bolt/sunburst mask that conforms to one’s face. If this is an indication that all major casting announcements are made via tweeted pictures of celebrities’ Halloween costumes from now on, we look forward to seeing Foxx battle with Patton Oswalt’s Dr. Octopus (and Oswalt’s daughter, playing Spider-Woman), the big-screen Daria adaptation starring Katy Perry and Raising Hope’s Shannon Woodward, and the never-ending art film/environmental-theater project where Chris Brown plays a huge asshole.
