Janet Jackson and Lady Antebellum cancel upcoming shows at the Indiana State Fair

In the wake of a terrifying stage collapse Saturday night that killed five people and injured dozens more at the Indiana State Fair, Janet Jackson and Lady Antebellum have backed out of scheduled performances at the festival. Another concert featuring Maroon 5 and Train will still take place, but at a different location. "It just doesn't seem like the right sort of atmosphere, y'know?," Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine told Billboard. "It'll probably take some time to heal. It's such a tragedy." Maroon 5 is also planning on playing a benefit for the victims’ families.

Structural engineers are currently investigating the collapse. According to USA Today, Indiana does not require outdoor stages to be inspected for safety.
