Because he can't seem to stop accepting roles, former Mad Men star and future The Man From U.N.C.L.E. cast member Jared Harris will also be in that upcoming Poltergeist remake. Deadline reports that Harris will portray Carrigan, a "larger than life TV personality who left the world of academia behind to become the star host of basic cable TV show Haunted House Cleaners." This suggests that Harris will be the one commissioned to "clear" the house of ghosts and the like, but he won't necessarily be channeling Zelda Rubinstein's Tangina, because Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky is rumored to be in the running for that role already.
Another addition to the Poltergeist "reimagining" is The Following's Kyle Catlett, whose expertise in looking really scared should serve him well in the presence of any possessed clowns. As previously reported, Rosemarie Dewitt is already set to star in the film, and Sam Rockwell will likely snag the leading man role.
