Billboard is reporting that former Wilco utility player (and initiator of legal action shortly before his death) Jay Bennett died of a drug overdose, and that his death is being investigated as an accident. The drug? The painkiller fentanyl, a substance committed to song by Silver Jews. ("You wanna smoke the gel off a fentanyl patch.")
