Kanye West and Jay Z are getting sued again, along with Frank Ocean. According to XXL, New York musician Joel McDonald is suing the three artists, claiming they plagiarized the track “Made In America” for the Watch The Throne record. McDonald says he wrote and recorded a track of the same name—and while that’s certainly not unique, there is at least a minute degree of similarity between the two tracks, both of which are streaming below.
This is the second lawsuit Misters Z and West have faced regarding Watch The Throne. The two were previously sued by soul singer Syl Johnson, who claimed his vocals were illegally sampled on “The Joy.” The two parties settled out of court.
