Earlier this week, social media alerted us to the fact that there was a meet-up between lookalike actors Joe Keery and Ben Schwartz. The alter egos of these two are, of course, Stranger Things’ Steve Harrington and Parks And Recreation’s Jean-Ralphio Saperstein, who, according to the Internet, are father and son. Turns out, their union didn’t just result in cute Instagrams: There was a sketch in the works orchestrated by James Corden.
Though the actors initially insist their characters are nothing alike, soon they become aware that they possess eerily similar mannerisms, and embrace the fact that they are indeed (fictionally) related. In general, the whole thing plays a little bit like the Harpo Marx episode of I Love Lucy but with stronger brow lines. Despite the fact that we firmly believe these two should go on the road together, we’d also like to note that the schtick is mostly Schwartz’s. Only Jean-Ralphio croons like that.
