Jeff Goldblum is confident he's one of the most powerful beings in the (Marvel) universe
Marvel fans are still trying to keep track of who was and was not wiped out by Thanos’ genocidal finger-snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but aside from who we actually see in the movie and who gets a good result from this Thanos website, we’re just going to have to depend on Marvel actors arbitrarily decided whether they’re alive or not. Recently, Jeff Goldblum told DigitalSpy that his Thor: Ragnarok character The Grandmaster is almost certainly still alive, explaining that “Grandmaster is more superheroed than all of them put together.”
“I’m deathless and I can kill people by looking at them, or I can resurrect them just by looking at them and thinking them,” Goldblum, referring to both his Thor character and his real life powers, adding, “I can do everything.” Goldblum went on to say that he doesn’t know for sure if The Grandmaster is still alive, but he’s so powerful and so playful that he could just be hanging around in the background of the universe until he feels like jumping in. The real implication of Goldblum’s comment is that he wants to play The Grandmaster in another movie, so he’d prefer it if the character is still alive, but he really doesn’t have a definitive answer one way or another.
It would obviously be a shame if him and Benicio del Toro’s The Collector never got to meet up in one of these movies, so let’s hope the two of them will get a chance to goof around together once this whole Thanos things gets cleared up.
