As fans enjoyed their precious Comic-Con, Jennifer Garner was trapped in an elevator

As 100,000 franchise-hungry fans ravaged the San Diego Convention Center at Comic-Con over the weekend, demanding more Robert Downey Jr movies, more Easter Eggs, and more Russos, an MCU Anchor Being was trapped without a hero in sight. Jennifer Garner and, presumably, her team were stuck between floors of the San Diego Convention Center for an hour and 10 minutes as fans demanded more casting news from Kevin Feige.

Documenting the crisis on Instagram, a “shvitzy” Garner remained in high spirits as she led a rousing rendition of “99 Bottles Of Beer On The Wall” and prayed for a Deadpool or a Wolverine to save her. Unfortunately, like Immortan Joe offering his Wretched water, Feige was sating their thirst, warning fans not to get addicted to casting news, for it will take hold of them, and they will resent its absence. That was what happened with Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania.

Each installment of her Instagram post is another step into madness as she remembered her trapped in an elevator training from The Office—or maybe it was Brooklyn 99. Nothing was working, and worse, no one could hear her. The screams of audiences learning Robert Downey Jr was going to be in two more Avengers movies were drowning out her cries for a blotting tissue. Thankfully, after an hour of sweaty torture, firefighters pried open the doors and whisked her to safety. But this is Comic-Con, Garner’s first, and she deserves satisfaction. We expect to see an Are You There God? It’s Me, Margret Funko Pop on her desk first thing in the morning.
