Now that the greatest overarching mystery of ABC's Revenge has been solved (i.e., "How fucking old is that dog and when is he going to die already?"), the primetime soap can move on to another lingering question: Where is Emily Thorne's mother and which famous actress will come play her and exchange meaningful stares with everyone? According to TV Line, it's Jennifer Jason Leigh, who will follow her recurring role on Weeds by turning up for a similar extended guest arc as the once-presumed-dead mom to Emily Van Camp's increasingly super-spy-like socialite. Creator Mike Kelley says that the character requires "somebody that can play volatile and dangerous" but who's also "got potential for kindness," and many a critic has long praised Jennifer Jason Leigh's potential for kindness.
