Jennifer Lawrence’s backside faces backlash
Jennifer Lawrence loves to tell stories about disgusting things she’s done. She decided to share one such anecdote during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show to promote Passengers, and, unlike that time she adorably puked in front of Miley Cyrus, it did not go over well because it was incredibly insensitive and bad. Lawrence described how, when she was filming one of the Hunger Games movies, in Hawaii she scratched her butt on sacred rocks she wasn’t even supposed to sit on out of respect. Then, because of her relentless itching, she dislodged a boulder and it almost killed someone on the crew.
So, indeed, this story includes reckless endangerment and careless disregard for a culture. People on Twitter were not charmed by her casual racism.

Today, Lawrence released a statement on Facebook apologizing. At least she said it was due, in other words, to overwhelming self-involvement.
I meant absolutely no disrespect to the Hawaiian people. I really thought that I was being self deprecating about the fact that I was “the curse”, but I understand the way it was perceived was not funny and I apologize if I offended anyone.
