By the writ of celebrity, as co-host of American Idol and the newly ordained Most Beautiful Woman In The World, Jennifer Lopez may now be granted her choosing of indulgences, whether it be forcing the nation to watch her new music video, or giving herself full and total absolution for Gigli. Unsurprisingly, she’s using that power to find a job for husband Marc Anthony, working with Idol producer Simon Fuller to develop a similar show called Que Viva, in which she and Anthony would work together to discover performers in Latin America. Presumably she would then offer them the same vaguely positive platitudes, only in Spanish. Anyway, the expectation is that Lopez would continue to perform her hosting duties on Idol while also establishing herself on this other continent—which, fairly warned, is how most empires begin to crumble.
