And just like that, Jennifer Lopez is out as a potential American Idol judge, with People reporting that “Fox had just had enough” once Lopez’s “demands got out of hand.” There’s no word yet on what those demands might have been—after all, perhaps Fox was fooled by the rocks that she’s got, but our understanding is that she is still, essentially, Jenny from the block—or why Lopez would have sacrificed the one potentially career-resuscitating move she’s made all year following her scrapped musical comeback and the baffling failure of her trendsetting artificial insemination romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. Maybe she demanded she be allowed to perform at least one rendition of “Louboutins” a week until she forced America to like it. Maybe she wanted to use the catchphrase “That was really On The 6!” and the producers were like, “No one knows what that means.” Who knows? Whatever the reason, sources say producers have once again returned to considering their earlier top candidates, like Elton John and Harry Connick Jr, who are probably better choices anyway.
