Jeremy Irons for Raymond creator's audiobook?

Ever want to experience Everybody Loves Raymond without the sitcom filter? Neither did we. But the show's creator, Phil Rosenthal, has released a memoir, You're Lucky You're Funny, and doesn't want Ray Romano's Fozzie Bear-esque voice for the audiobook, according to The Hollywood Reporter:

"It's so much easier to start with words on a page that you can manipulate," Rosenthal says. "I think the audio edition of this book should be really good…. We're trying to get Jeremy Irons to do it, but I don't know if he can pull it off."

Sure. He can play pathological twin gynecologists in Dead Ringers, but perhaps not a common suburban slob. It might be too complex and eloquent.
