Mallrats and Party Of Five actor Jeremy London was reportedly kidnapped last week in the desert near Palm Springs by two men who had approached him to seemingly help the actor fix a flat tire outside a hotel, says E! Online. The men forced London at gunpoint to joyride around Palm Springs in his own car, purchase alcohol to hand out in a gang-riddled area, and smoke either crack cocaine or methamphetamine, according to Radar Online. At this time the specific drug hasn’t been identified.
London’s ordeal lasted most of the day of June 10th, reportedly between 2 p.m. and 2:30 a.m., when he was able to escape and seek police help. At this time, 26-year old Brandon Adams has been arrested and charged after police tracked London’s car to the suspect’s residence. His accomplice has yet to be apprehended.
This is an unfortunate incident for London who has been a recovering drug addict for the last year after entering rehab in 2009 for an addiction to prescription medications. This is also additional stress for the actor who is going through a divorce and custody battle and was driving on a suspended license last week when the incident occurred. Maybe the police will take pity and forgo a citation this time.
