Jim Carrey wanted for a role in Kick-Ass 2

Deadline reports that Universal Pictures is offering Jim Carrey a "showy" role in Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall, the promised sequel to the 2010 film based on the comic books by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. The 50-year-old actor is wanted for the character Colonel Stars, a member of the vigilante superhero team Justice Forever, and should he sign on he would be joining returning Kick-Ass players Chloe Moretz, Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Nicolas Cage, plus new signees Donald Faison and John Leguizamo. Although he's far from confirmed at this point, Carrey is not only comfortable in comic-book films, having starred in The Mask and Batman Forever, he's also purportedly a “big fan” of Matthew Vaughn’s original Kick-Ass, and—judging by the below duet with Conan O'Brien—definitely has no qualms about donning the obligatory superhero onesie.
