Jim Ross doesn’t think The Rock will return to the WWE—unless he runs for president

WWE announcer Jim Ross has seen and called some of the greatest wrestling matches of the past 30 years. When we had him on A.V. Club Live last week, a reader posed this question: What dream match would Ross like to see happen? Names like Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar were tossed around, but of course he had to bring up Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Ross doesn’t think there’s a chance The Rock will return to the WWE—unless Johnson runs for president and returns to the ring to connect with his would-be constituents.
