Jimmy Fallon, John Goodman, and Paul Rudd coming home for Saturday Night Live Christmas

The holidays are a time for reuniting with old friends, a sentiment Saturday Night Live has taken to heart with a slew of returning hosts and musical guests for its December shows. Paul Rudd will host for the third time alongside second-time musical guests One Direction on December 7 (which will undoubtedly lead to a weird clash of Directioners and Anchorman fans in the audience). Then Jimmy Fallon returns for his second hosting appearance—and second time hosting the Christmas episode—on December 21, bringing along his BFF Justin Timberlake for a fifth performance as musical guest. Fallon also arrives in time to promote his Lorne Michaels-produced Tonight Show, which debuts February 17. Most impressive of all, the December 14 show features not only Kings Of Leon in its third appearance, but John Goodman stops by Studio 8H for his 13th hosting gig (and first since 2001)—because the other thing the holidays are about is a large, jolly man delivering joy.
