Jimmy Smits legal drama Outlaw heads toward cancellation
The Jimmy Smits legal drama Outlaw has become the latest new show of the fall season to be banished to the attic, to be spoken of only in hushed tones and possibly engage in incestuous relations with its siblings in cancellation Lone Star and My Generation. While the network monitors ratings closely to see if it’s worth salvaging, NBC has stopped all production on the show, which follows the adventures of a former Supreme Court justice with a yen for gambling who abandons his post to launch a private practice, which he runs fast and loose from the front seat of a Ferrari Testarossa as he chases drug kingpins and bikini-clad babes around the beaches of Miami. Just kidding, but America would be more likely to watch that.
