The administration may be coming to an end but the bromance between Joe Biden and Barack Obama will live on forever. How do we know? Biden presented the president with the ultimate birthday present: a friendship bracelet. Well, really, he tweeted out a picture of a pair of bangles with the names “Joe” and “Barack” written out in beads. But it doesn’t matter. Because as we know from childhood, friendship bracelets are binding contracts, and this means they are permanent BFFs.
We do actually have a question about the image: Who made these? Actually, never mind, don’t tell us. We’d rather envision Biden in his office late one night, carefully crafting, delicately deciding whether to add a smiley face.
Update: Obama himself appears to be constructing these very bracelets in a BuzzFeed video that was released in June. Is Biden re-gifting?
