The Associated Press reports that musician Joe Perry was hospitalized after falling ill at a concert Sunday night. The longtime Aerosmith lead guitarist was playing a show at Coney Island’s Ford Amphitheater with the Hollywood Vampires, his side band with Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, and Guns ‘N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan. Perry reportedly sat down mid-performance before eventually walking offstage. He was later taken to Coney Island Hospital, where he underwent some tests.
Sujata Murthy, a rep for Perry, now tells the AP that the rocker is “stable and with his family.” Earlier today, Cooper took to Twitter to reassure fans that his bandmate is on the mend.
