Joey Ramone's records, T-shirts, Rolodex, and more going up for auction

Joey Ramone's records, T-shirts, Rolodex, and more going up for auction

A selection of items from the late Joey Ramone’s estate is going up for auction. Included in the lots are Ramone’s Rolodex, passport, two guitars, several pairs of sunglasses, a leather jacket, 140 of his T-shirts, and a set of 97 of his records, including his creased and torn copies of LPs by Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Led Zeppelin, The Beach Boys, Patti Smith, Jimi Hendrix, T. Rex, The Kinks, The Human League, and Cream.

Right now the opening bid for Ramone's record collection sits at $500—a pretty good price for 97 LPs even if they weren’t owned by a punk legend. The auction kicks off Feb. 14 and runs through Feb. 21. All items will come packaged with a letter of authenticity from Ramone’s brother, Mickey Leigh.
