If John C. Reilly's performance as Lefty in A Prairie Home Companion is any indication, he might be a riot in Walk Hard, a comedy in which, as Production Weekly reports:
Reilly plays fictional music legend Dewey Cox, who's an amalgamation of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Waylon Jennings and will sing the tunes his own voice. Shooting will start mid January in Los Angeles.
It's being billed as a parody of hard-luck biopics like Walk The Line, Ray, etc.
