It sure sounds like the Trump administration killed Netflix's bid for Warner Bros.
Media mogul and WBD stockholder John Malone says the administration told Netflix they had "no chance" of acquiring the studio.

Many have and will continue to speculate about the numerous greenlights and open doors Skydance CEO David Ellison hit as he acquired two of Hollywood’s oldest studios, Paramount and Warner Bros. in quick succession. Even putting aside the fact that a major financier of Paramount’s acquisition of WBD is Ellison’s father, Larry Ellison, one of the world’s wealthiest men, a major Trump donor, and a friend of the president, Skydance was quick to settle lawsuits, fire stars, and hire charlatans if it meant grabbing Paramount. That goodwill paid off when Trump’s FCC waved Ellison’s purchase of WBD through without much thought to antitrust law. One guy owning two-fifths of the major studios in town? That’s fine—no monopoly there. People were right to speculate, especially if they believe major WBD stockholder and media mogul John Malone, who, per Deadline, told the Paley Center for Media’s International Council Summit today, that the Trump administration warned Netflix it would put its thumb on the regulatory scale to block the streamer’s acquisition.
