But now John Mayer's throat appears to be causing more trouble for John Mayer than his mouth: A serious throat condition has forced the singer-songwriter to cancel his upcoming concert appearances and put off work on his new album, Born And Raised. In a blog post on his website, Mayer says the record "is complete as far as music recording, song selection, and in some cases mixing, but because of this condition I couldn’t finish singing on several of the tracks."
