John Oliver presents some delightfully twisted graphics that never made it to air

For every joke that makes it to TV, there’s probably a dozen that don’t. TV series, whether they’re sitcoms or talk shows, go through myriad iterations before hitting your eyeballs, and, on occasion, the best stuff hits the cutting room floor. That’s why John Oliver of Last Week Tonight regularly shares his team’s “lost graphics,” which he blessedly shares with no context as to why they were first created.

They’re funnier that way, honestly: A photoshopped box of dog condoms called Ruff Riders needs no explanation, nor does a photo of a red panda snacking on the organs of a delighted Oliver. The above video presents the aforementioned images alongside a slew of other bizarre images, which include hockey-playing badgers and Ivanka Trump as Catherine Keener’s Get Out character.

As a treat, you even get a photo of Nancy Reagan sitting on the lap of Mr. T, who is, for some reason, dressed like Santa Claus. That one’s not even doctored; it just exists, and we’re all richer for having set sight upon it.
