HBO has finally told us what we should call John Oliver’s upcoming late-night series, besides The Reason There Are No Charming British People On The Daily Show Anymore. Instead, we’ll be asked to call it Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, in reference to how it will look back at the events of the last week, tonight, with John Oliver. Furthermore, HBO confirmed an April 27, 11 p.m. premiere for the first of 24 ordered episodes—a number that will surely grow if the combination of Oliver and The Daily Show’s former head writer Tim Carvell continues to yield the sort of entertainment it did during Jon Stewart’s hiatus over the summer. Now the rest of us just have to do things they can make fun of.
