When John Woo mentioned remaking his own The Killer for American audiences who don’t like subtitles gumming up their gunplay, it turns out he wasn’t just speaking abstractly: Woo has officially begun pre-production on the film, lining up director John H. Lee (A Moment To Remember, 71: Into The Fire) and star Jung Woo-sun (Reign Of Assassins, The Good The Bad The Weird) for an “English language retelling” of his 1989 original, which will, of course, be shot in 3-D, with doves all up in your face.
